Originally designed by our father, Lawrence “Poetry” Moten, Syracuse University’s all-time leading scorer and a man whose game, spirit, and generosity touched countless lives, the Poetry 21 Shooting Shirt represents everything he stood for: excellence, integrity, and heart.
Every detail of this shirt was created by him while he was here with us. He took his time, poured his vision into it, and made sure it carried the same pride he brought to every moment on and off the court.
Today, we — his daughters, Lawrencia and Leilani Moten — are honored to continue what he started. This is the official Poetry 21 shirt, the same design seen on Syracuse men’s basketball players, released with love and intention to keep his legacy alive.
When you wear this shirt, you’re not just repping a team or a legend — you’re carrying forward a story, a family, and a legacy that meant the world to him and still means everything to us.
